The Shifting Faith Vote: What It Means For This Election

Note: The audio is the video pics up just as the panel is introduced. Be patient for the first 2 minutes.Since the 2004 election, the ground has shifted tremendously for evangelical Christian, Catholic and other religious voters.

A deepening awareness about torture, poverty, global HIV/AIDS, the environment and peace stands alongside more traditionally conservative values like abortion and gay marriage. Both Presidential campaigns are consciously trying to build momentum with faith voters. This panel assesses how the changing values debate among religious voters will have an impact on the general electorate, the campaigns, and the media. It also explores how those who support this expanded debate are getting the message out broadly between now and the election.
